Beginning Tribal Classes starting April 23rd..

Hey all,

Just to let everyone know that Beginning Tribal Classes will start on Wend. April 23rd at 7:30 - 8:30.

Anyone interested in performing tribal must take at least 8 weeks of this class before moving into the saturday technique classes.

Tentative Tribal Class Schedule and Class Descriptions

Wed (7:30 - 8:30) Basic Tribal Technique
For all students new to Tribal Style Bellydance and those wishing to refine their basic skills. This is an ongoing class that will focus on posture, body awareness, history and the fundamentals of Tribal Style Bellydance movements.
*Prerequisite: anyone that has not been thru this class will be required to be in this class 8 weeks before continuing to other levels.



Sat (11:00 - 12:00) Tribal Variations
(Instructor Referral Only)
This Class will build on the material learned on Basic Tribal Technique class. Each class will focus on zills, layering, complex movements and their refinement. We will work in small groups as well as chorus group.
Newly admitted students will be encourage in participate in chorus during troupe performance.
*Prerequisite: Basic Tribal Technique class and instructor’s referral.



Sat (12: 15- 1:45) Troupe Performance
(Instructor Referral Only)
For students who are fluent in Tribal Bellydance’s vocabulary and Improvisation. This is a continuous class that will build on group dancing, formations, implementing zills into the dance. Students will improve their communications skills by following and leading during improvisational dance.
*Prerequisite: any student in this class must be in Tribal Variations class.



Recommended class attire: any clothing that you can stretch in, comfortable clothes such as sweatpants/yoga pants, a sports bra, a sports hugging top (so that you and your instructor can better see your posture.) Avoid baggy shirts.
